Dimitri From Paris (who was actually born in Turkey), is at Hearts tonight to bring some much needed club sunshine on these dark winter nights. If its infectious disco-flecked floor-groovers that turn you on then you will be in good company with Monsieur Dimitri and his blend of faux-jazz-house, influenced by the 50s/60s soundtracks of John Barry, Dick Hyman, and Martin Denny. Djing since the 80s, Dimitri has a wealth of experience, and has re-mixed hundreds of artists from Bjork to New Order to James Brown, as well creating his own sound medleys for the fashion houses of Chanel, Lagerfeld, and Gaultier. He is joined tonight at the north Branch Street venue by Hearts residents Hiroki, Just Joey, and John Curley. From 10pm. $20, or $10 with RSVP to exactevents.com, though free before midnight.

Over at Empty Bottle, we have Isolee, Frankie Vega vs Sevron, and Quadratic. Rightly hailed as one of the most original House producers on the scene, Isolee (real name Rajko Muller) is a minimalist DJ from Frankfurt, Germany, who has crafted a uniquely rich, and multi textured sound, lacing intricate melodies, with a stylishly colorful techno-pop feel. The Isolee sound has been described as “microhouse,” and indeed he is said to be the first to have recorded the first ever microhouse album with his 2000 release ‘Rest’. His 1998 club classic, the wonderfully warm and layered electro-programming smash ‘Beau Mot Plage’ is bound to get everyone up and raving. The ever pleasing regulars Frankie Vega and Sevron team up in the build-up, with Abstract Science’s Quadratic opening. From 9.30pm. $10. North Western Avenue.

Sound Bar is going to be heaving tonight when the hoofin’ DJ skills of club god Mark Knight come to town to showcase his extraordinary mixing dexterity live! The former king of the Ministry of Sound has just begun a US tour that looks set to light up many clubs the nation over. Regarded as one of the foremost DJ/Producers on the planet, Mark has continually scored time after time with a succession of solid dance hits. A resident at the London scene of the Ministry in 2003, Mark now has his own Toolroom label, which has set a new trend, and shape, to hi-energy club grooves with a string of bankable electro-tribal dance releases. Setting the tone is the Nor DJs and their “global Euro.” West Ontario Street. From 10pm, $20, reduced entry with RSVP at sound-bar.com. http://www.ministryofsound.com/radio/artist/MarkKnight
Detroit-born Seth Troxler brings his hot ‘n’ sexy globetrotting style to Spy Bar this evening with a set that is guaranteed to get the roof blown right off. The new kid on the scene has been taking his sound right across the international club circuit since 2002 when at the tender age of 16 he began tearing up the house at Detroit’s The Works, while still putting his hours in at the city’s famous Melodies and Memories record store. Usually resident in Berlin these days at the legendary Club der Visionare, his ultra smooth techno set here is a must-see…as is the equally gifted Craig Richards from London, who will be setting the night up with the deep techno panache he has come to be loved for. A resident at the famous Fabric club in Smithfield, the former art student turned to music when his passion for DJing got the better of him in the late 90s – much to every clubbers delight! His style is eclectic, deep, and teccie…and you just never know what you’re going to get, which is all part of his great attraction. From 10pm, north Franklin Street, $20. Reduced entry in advance through clubtix.net.

Those who love to say “I was there” will no doubt be clambering over each other to get themselves into Enclave tonight to catch this live performance of the Dutch equivalent of Lady Gaga – Eva Simons. With a dress sense and red-mohawk that matches anything Miss Gaga can muster, this steamy songstress from the nether regions (who won the 2004 reality show Popstars in Holland) looks set to be the new global pop sensation following the phenomenal release of her single “Silly Boy” in 2009. The song was leaked on to YouTube, and soon became one of the most listened to tracks online with a massive 10 million hits…with everyone believing it was being sung by Lady Gaga or Rhianna! With Dutch producer Afrojack behind her giving her that unbeatable house touch, it all looks good for an ‘era of Eva’. The place is going to be on fire from 10pm. $20, west Chicago Avenue. http://www.evasimons.com/en/cms/website.php
